My name is Paige and I am the daughter of a farmer.  I grew up in a small town in south Alabama.  Along with access to fresh food straight from the farm, I have a mother who loves to cook.  Some of my favorite childhood memories are in the kitchen with my mom and grandmother.  I began cooking at a very young age and I love to cook for others just like my mother and grandmother taught me.  Gathering around the table full of fresh fried chicken, butterbeans, bright red tomatoes, sweet corn, and cornbread was just the norm during my childhood.   Once I left home to pursue my career in interior design I found that not everyone had access to the same food I did as a child.  We knew where our food was from.  My dad knew the farmer or friend that grew the vegetables he put on our table, our meat was wrapped in white paper from the butcher, the corn my dad grew was ground at the local mill and made into cornmeal then cornbread, and I could go on and on.  Through this blog I will share my passion for good food that I learned as a child.  Together we will cook, bake, shop, garden, and enjoy meals at some of my favorite restaurants.  I hope you enjoy and take a little bit of The Farmer’s Daughter to your kitchen table.
